Spotlights vs. Trials
“Often times in order to capture your dreams, it will require you to chase your fears.” ~Neil Patel
The reason many people find it hard to succeed is because they’re comparing other people’s highlight reels with their own behind the scenes trials. They then get discouraged.
But what did it take for those brief moments in the spotlight? Many nights in the dark.
The thing is, success never comes easy nor fast. Especially not easy. If it did, then it wouldn’t feel so good when it comes.
You got to have faith
“The only way you can get experience is from the clock. Time works with some people and against some people. Fortunately, the clock has worked in my favor.” ~Bernard Hopkins
Greatness comes with a price. Admittedly, it hurts to remind ourselves of that especially when things don’t look so good. Blind faith, that’s all it can be sometimes.
It might be cliche, but when we’re on that road of chasing what we truly want, faith becomes a beacon of strength.
And when there’s doubt? It’s good to be inspired by heroes.
The ugly—and beautiful—truth about success
What do they like to say? Success won’t come easy nor fast. Never.
But then we still choose to do it, don’t we? Because it’s what makes us feel most alive. We want to put our best foot forward, always—because it’s what our heart speaks for.
So it will inevitably be hard, ugly, lots of roadblocks—but you gotta pay your dues. You gotta spend some time in the dark to break through the light and in the end it will always be worth it. Always.
