I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring. – David Bowie
The importance of hope
What’s the most detrimental thing to happen to anyone? Losing hope, losing the will to dream.
Back in kindergarten, we would throw ideas of what we would like to be when we grew up. We were at a time when anything could happen. How do we lose that so easily as we grow up? Why can’t we keep that child-like faith?
The inspiration of heroes
Our heroes serve as touchstones of our success. In whatever field, they become inspirations for how we live our lives, because there is a takeaway for every life no matter how quiet or loud.
We draw inspiration from loud, genuine souls like David Bowie who walked this Earth and blessed us with music. We draw inspiration from quiet pilgrims like Paulo Coelho who continues to share his truth through words.
What our heroes do is remind us of what matters. We know what we need to do innately—sometimes we just need a gentle push or a strong slap in the face.
Dreaming is one of those things
Anything we want can happen if we’re absolutely willing to put in the work.
Dreaming big does not only mean having a grand vision of yourself but knowing that you can do so much with your life—then working to make it happen.
Dreaming is free, so dream big. Find that part of you that knows your existence has value. You can give so much. And then give all of that heart and soul.
Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience. – Paulo Coelho
